Wexham Park Golf Club - Buckinghamshire

I have manage to play all three courses at Wexham Park, the nine hole red course is tree-lined with a few good holes as you do have to think of where to put your tee shot along with the greens having multiple undulations on, in some place you could find yourself putting up a slope of 30 degrees or more.

West Berkshire Golf Club

The West Berkshire is very long from the back tees and the course was suffering a little after all the dry weather we have had but the firm fairways certainly helped with some of the longer holes. The greens had some brown patches on them but still putted well and the bunkers were filled with lovely soft sand.

Reading Golf Club - Berkshire

Reading is very pleasing on the eye, the fairways are great and the greens look good, with changes in elevation on quite a few of the holes, the course plays great too. I was made very welcome by the staff and members, a three ball on the first tee even allowed my group in front of them as they thought we would probably play faster than them.

Hennerton Golf Club - Wargrave, Berkshire

I have visited the nine holes at Hennerton a number of times over the years, but this is the first visit of the updated full eighteen hole course.

Sand Martins Golf Club - Wokingham, Berkshire

Sand Martins Golf Club has two different types of nine holes, the first nine are tree lined fairways and are quite tight the second nine are more open with humps and large sand mounds in the fairways that make it look sort of 'Links' like.

 

Donnington Valley Golf Club - Newbury, Berkshire

Donnington Valley was in very good condition the day I played it, the tees and fairways were great and the greens putted very smoothly but did look a little patchy in places, although this did not affect the putting.

Whiteleaf Golf Club - Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire

Whiteleaf is a very nice nine hole course set in the Chilterns, a little up and down in places but all the fairways are tree-lined with quite a lot of out of bounds to the right , not good for anyone who tends to slice the ball. The greens are not massive but about right for the size for the course and there are some blind approaches from a few of the fairways.

Pachesham Park Golf Club - Surrey

The facilities here are quite good for a 9 hole course, there is a range with a separate chipping area & the clubhouse is quite nice too. The course has a couple of sub 300 yard par 4's but part from that it's alright in length. The greens here run smoothly but are quite small so will test your approach shots, one thing we did notice though was that there were no signs for hole numbers making it difficult to see where the next hole is if you have not played here before.
