Hinksey Heights Golf Club - Oxfordshire

The heavens opened on the day I visited Hinkey Heights, the course was extremely wet when I started so take that into account of my experience. The layout of the course is pretty good, it has bumps and humps all over the place, giving the course a links feel, some of the approaches to the greens are blind shots with the greens themselves being anything but flat.

Some of the par 4's are very long and you will do well to get a par on them, the wind was definitely a factor of high scoring for me, with the course being quite high up I am sure this is quite often the case.

Overall a nice looking course, it's a shame the fairways were not in a better condition, I will have to visit during the summer or just when it has not been raining non stop for most of the day, although having been built on farmland I suspect they may never be in pristine condition.
